Finding Your Purpose

Many of us often ask the question

“What Is My Purpose”

I’ve even been there and I’m pretty sure reading this has you thinking the same at this point.

It’s a very interesting topic and a big reason to do some self-evaluations so let’s get into it, Here is three tools that i have found to help gaining insight to my purpose while I’m here on this earth.

What Drives You

One word we can all agree on is passion. when it comes to thinking about a strong drive for something we love.

What Is Passion

Passion is defined as a few things but here is a good one for this

Passion:: an intense desire or enthusiasm for something.

finding out what pushes you is very vital in this process, Its a key point in finding what your fire is, what ignites you on the inside. What makes you wanna be a better man or woman? Honestly there are so many questions you could ask yourself at this point it gives you much to think about so while your in deep thoughts let’s go to number two.

Make a list of things you love

This can be helpful in narrowing down your tick, is what I like to call it. try to make the list as long as possible. After you’ve done, go through your list and mark the things that are your favorite. Yes mark the ones that you couldn’t imagine going without doing. Mark the ones you can see helping someone in some kind of way for the good.

A few questions to ask yourself while doing this:

  • What can I do to help someone other than yourself?
  • How can I use my life for good?
  • What makes me stand out?
  • What do you feel God is calling you to do in life?

This next one is my favorite lol. I may just turn it in to a sermon, because we often see ourselves just good for one thing in our lives

Break Up with

 “THE ONE”

Many of us struggle because we try to find that ONE thing that we are meant to do; but trying to find only one thing is the reason why we feel like something is missing. The notion that we have only one thing we are meant for limits us from fulfilling our importance and finding that true purpose.

Take me for example i have several position from preaching, teaching, music ministry and much more. Even tho these are my callings i have a strong passion for them all. If i only had a passion for just one, i could have missed my purpose in them all. So it is okay to be open minded in other areas you can find purpose in life. Your passion May not always be your purpose but your passion can always reveal who we are in life.

So start getting in touch with your passions!

When you lead a passionate life you are living your life on purpose.

Let go of thinking there is only one purpose for you and embrace the idea that our purpose in life is to love life fully by putting ourselves into our life!

This means we jump in and try new things; we stop resisting the unknown and we fully engage in what is happening right here, where we are, right now.

To lead a purposeful life, follow your passions.

When we live a passion-filled life we are living on purpose, and that is the purpose of life.

That feeling that something is missing goes away when you live a passion-filled life. The need to seek our purpose comes from a lack of passion. When you don’t feel connected to your life, you lack purpose and passion. To fix this emptiness simply add more passion.

To boil it down, remember this simple equation:

Passion + Daily Action =  A Purposeful Life

Thank you God bless you and remember there’s a purpose for you
